Pastor Jose Gutierrez was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church on September of 1983. He married Emma Ortiz on December 1983 and together begun serving the church.
Jose was called into the Ministry by the Southern California Conference (SCC) in 2003 as a Lay Pastor, serving the Lake of the Woods Adventist Church in Frazier Park, CA. He obtained his certification as an evangelist through the Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism.
After serving the Conference as a Lay Pastor he was assigned the position of Associate Pastor in the Palmdale Seventh-day Adventist Church in 2015. Upon the retirement of Senior Pastor Rockne Dahl in 2016, Pastor Jose was retained by the Southern California Conference as the Senior Pastor of the Palmdale Adventist Church.
Pastor Jose was ordained into the ministry on Feb. 29, 2020. He is currently attending Andrews University working on his master’s degree while serving the Tehachapi Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Tehachapi, CA
